The natural Marseille soap

A classic Marseille soap is fragrance free and color dye free. It contains a minimum of 72 % of oils. Either made with a based of olive, coco or palm oil, it comes in two categories :

- With glycerin* for body and face hygiene, even if you can also use it as a household soap with no problem. Be aware however that washing machines don't like glycerin on the long run.

- Glycerin free* for a household use. Ideal for hand washing delicate fabrics, baby's clothes,bathrooms, kitchens and anything else you want to ecofriendly wash without risking to damage it !

According to purist, this Marseille cube soap is the only one that deserve the name.

*Glycerin is naturally produced during the soap making process (see our page Manufacturing). It is a moisturizer and a lubricant. Without glycerin, a soap would be too "aggressive" on the long run to most skin types. On the other hand, if you have a very greasy skin why not try a household Marseille soap?
