Sales conditions
General term of sales :
The present sales conditions determine sales contracts between customers and Au savon de Marseille, owner and manager of the website www.savon-de-marseille.ca. A customer is a person or a company placing an order for one or more products offered for sale within the website www.savon-de-marseille.ca.
A customer ordering products from www.savon-de-marseille.ca therefore accept without any reserve the present terms of sales. In the event of a dispute between Au savon de Marseilles and a customer, we reserves the right not to fulfill new orders from the customer in question.
1 - Prices and weight
All prices displayed on www.savon-de-marseille.ca are in Canadian dollars. Prices shown do not include sale taxes, shipping and handling fees. Since raw material prices can fluctuate, we reserve the right to change our prices and fees without notice. Packaging : If requested, we can wrap soaps, which are usually sold without packaging. A fee of 3,5 dollars will be in this case added to the order. Soaps weight are taken on fresh soaps, before drying.
2 - Payment of orders
The products ordered are the property of Au savon de Marseille until full payment is made. Credit cards or direct Paypal payments are accepted for payment of orders placed through our website. Credit card data's are processed by Paypal, using high security standards encryption codes, commonly used by all transactional websites. Payment by checks are accepted. Please note that Au savon de Marseille reserves the right not to proceed to delivery or shipment of an order if a check is insolvent.
3 - Shipping and Delivery
Definition of terms :
Handling :
Refers to operations of processing an order prior to shipment or delivery. These operations include the processing and preparation of articles. Order processing take place by order of arrival (except holidays). Orders received on Saturdays and Sundays might be processed on Monday morning. These given time frames may vary depending on volumes to be processed.
Shipping :
Refers to the use of Canada Post. By default, the products sold on www.savon-de-marseille.ca are shipped by Canada Post and delivered to the delivery address stated by the customer. Shipping rates are : 10 $ to the provinces of Quebec and Ontario and 15 $ to all other provinces, except territories. They include handling and processing fees. Shipping times are indicated by Canada Post and do not include handling delays. Au savon de Marseille can not be held responsible for lost or damaged goods during transit. It is your responsibility to verify the soaps conditions before you accept a parcel. Au savon de Marseille can not be held responsible for shipments delays once handled to Canada Post.
Delivery :
Refers to Au savon de Marseille's own delivery service at home or at work without using Canada Post shipping. Only customers living in certain areas of Montreal, Laval and the south shore have the opportunity to opt for our home delivery service. Eligible sectors for this service are determined by the first 3 characters of the postal code :

Home delivery service is 3 $. Delivery Days are Mondays to Fridays, between 5 p.m and 7 p.m, except holidays, and on Saturdays or Sundays according to our agreement at the time of ordering. Au savon de Marseille can not be held responsible for delays occasioned by striking employees of the public transit system, failure of transportation or any incidents or events delaying or stopping the delivery service and shipping. Au savon de Marseille is deemed to have fulfilled its obligations as soon as delivery is made within a reasonable time frame (except in such cases as referred above) or in agreement with a customer, even if the customer does not take possession of the products ordered.
In the event that a customer is not present at the delivery address at the time agreed, Au savon de Marseille will file a notice of passage and make one other attempt after contacting the customer. If this second attempts fail again, Au savon de Marseille will ask the customer to contact us in order to choose one of two options:
1) receive the order by Canada Post and pay us the complete costs fees associated with this mode of delivery.
2) pick up the order in person at our headquarters with no possibility to claim a delivery fee refund.
The physical absence of the client or the lack of communication do not constitute a order cancellation.
4 - Return policy
Shall Au savon de Marseille fail to comply with the terms and conditions of sales, the customer can send a cancellation notice within fifteen (15) days and must include the purchase invoice. Returned products must not have been used, damaged, altered and must be returned in their original packaging. Au savon de Marseille will reserve the right not to refund a customer who did not respect the conditions of return. If all conditions are met as mentioned above, Au savon de Marseille shall refund the customer within fifteen (15) days following the cancellation notice. Refunds are made via Paypal if the customer has a registered Paypal account or by check sent by registered mail to the delivery address given when the order was made. 5 - Out of stock products
All products shown in the website www.savon-de-marseille.ca are displayed within the limits of available stocks. In the event of a stock shortage regarding a product already ordered, Au savon de Marseille can substitute a similar product or cancel the order in its entirety or partially, depending on the terms agreed with the customer.
6 - Security of credit card transactions
Payment made trough Paypal is a secure tractional solution using high security standards. These standards guarantees that credit cards data's are fully encrypted and can not be read, copied or intercepted by ourselves or by a third party.
7 - Privacy
The use of the website www.savon-de-marseille.ca implies the voluntary consent of giving Au savon de Marseille, privates information such as your address, email or phone number.
